Jenny Wilson – US Senate Nominee
Jenny Wilson is a fifth-generation Utahn and lifelong Democrat with a record demonstrating commitment to the state where she raises her family. Currently serving her second six-year term on the Salt Lake County Council, Jenny represents one-third of Utahns as an At-Large Council Member.
Working across party lines, Jenny has notched serious results by forging consensus on issues like health benefits for LGBT employees long before marriage became a reality, paid parental leave, criminal justice and ethics reform, and environmental and canyon protections.
Jenny has established herself as a bold policy-maker and her service in the United States Senate would be no exception. Jenny is currently on the board of the Utah Association of Counties and invested in ensuring that Utah’s economic landscape is thriving for rural, as well as urban communities.
The daughter of former Salt Lake City Mayor Ted Wilson, Jenny is a graduate of East High School and the University of Utah. She received a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. Jenny served as Chief of Staff to Utah’s former Democratic Congressman, Bill Orton.
