Learn About Utah Democrats

We’ve launched a new brand and a new website to answer that very question.

On this site, you’ll find contact information for our elected officials, upcoming events, and information on how to get involved with us. You’ll also find our positions on a number of issues: EDUCATION, the ECONOMY, HEALTHCARE, SOCIAL JUSTICE, AIR QUALITY, and so on; the issues that affect Utah families every day.

Utah Democrats are committed to fighting for these issues, and for policies that help our families lead happy, healthy, successful lives.

Our children deserve access to a quality education, not just K-12, but also post-secondary education. They deserve to breathe clean air and to share the beauty of our state’s natural resources with their own children. When they graduate from college, they should have the opportunity to secure a job that will allow them to provide for their families. And all of us – from our youngest child to our oldest senior – deserve access to quality, affordable healthcare.

Here in Utah, we pride ourselves on our work ethic, our value for individual rights, and on the priority we place on taking care of each other. Utah Democrats espouse these values, and we fight for them every day, because we know government can be a tool, an instrument to protect its citizens and to improve society in ways beyond what individuals and societal institutions can do alone. We believe the government can step in when necessary, to provide Utahns who find themselves down on their luck with a second chance, not a way of life. The value Utah Democrats place on helping our neighbor and on taking care of each other is a key difference between us and our opponents.

Utah Dems come from different places, we have different life experiences, and we may not agree on every policy position, but the most important thing you need to know about us is that when see a problem, we work tirelessly to find solutions. We focus on what we have in common, and we unite to make Utah an even better state.

So, you see, Utah Democrats are a new kind of Democrat. We don’t get caught up in partisan politics. We’re care about getting things done.

We’re tired of political games, and we know you are, too. That’s why we’re asking you to join us in helping us take back our state, not just for ourselves, but for our most precious resource: our children.
