2019 Taylor & Mayne Speaker Announcement

We are thrilled to announce that Congresswoman Deb Haaland (D-NM) will be our special guest speaker at the 2019 Taylor & Mayne Awards Dinner next month.
Congresswoman Haaland, a member of the Pueblo of Laguna Tribe, is one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress. Haaland is a powerful voice for public lands and is leading the efforts on legislation to address climate change and the epidemic of missing and murdered indigenous women. She has also served as the New Mexico Democratic State Party Chair, as a dedicated community leader in New Mexico, and is a rising national political leader.

We are honored to host the Rep. Haaland for the Taylor and Mayne Awards Dinner and the State Organizing Convention the following day.

Todd Taylor and Ed Mayne were pillars in the Democratic Party who believed in the importance of growing the grassroots community and the Democratic base in Utah. They were tireless advocates for the everyday Utahn, the everyday Democrat, and they were fundamental in getting our party to where it is today. Each year, the Utah Democratic Party recognizes two activists who have helped build and grow our community.

The winners of the Todd Taylor Democratic Gains Award and the Ed Mayne Labor Champion Award will be announced in the coming days.

The 2019 Taylor & Mayne Awards Dinner will be held on Friday, June 21 at the Utah Hogle Zoo. Get your tickets today!
Thank you for helping us honor the shining stars who make a difference in our communities every day.
