Stroh DeCaire

Chair of Chairs, Chair of Davis County


Stroh DeCaire is the Chairman of the Davis County Democratic Party, a position he has held since 2015.  He was re-elected at the 2017 Davis County Nominating Convention and will be serving as Chair until May 2019.  Born and raised outside of Flint, Michigan, he grew up in a very politically dynamic home and has been active in Democratic politics and causes for over 30 years.  Stroh was recently re-appointed for another 3 year term to the Kaysville City Planning Commission and for the past decade he has served as the Chairman of the Kaysville City 4th of July Parade, an annual event that draws over 40,000 in attendance.  He has been a dedicated volunteer at KUER, Utah’s NPR affiliate for 14 years and he has volunteered for several local non-profit agencies to include the Utah Food Bank, the Utah Chapter of the Special Olympics, and the Utah Arts Festival.

Stroh spent 14 years in the defense industry as an active duty member of the United States Air Force and as a civilian working for Lockheed Martin in electronic warfare.  Since 2007 he has worked in the telecommunications industry and is currently an engineer for the Utah Education Network, providing high speed internet, telephone service, and distance education opportunities to all of Utah’s 41 public school districts, charter schools, libraries, and other governmental entities across the state.

He currently resides within the boundaries of House District 17 in Kaysville.
