Raised in Tooele, I moved to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and later a master’s degree in Public Administration.
For more than 20 years I have been living and working in House District 25, always striving to make our neighborhoods better through my career and community work. Professionally, I have built my career with Salt Lake City where I currently oversee community programs and initiatives in the Division of Youth and Family Programs. A longtime community organizer, I have always worked to advance progressive causes, equality and social justice. In 2012, voters first entrusted me to represent them in the Utah House of Representatives and I have been honored to serve ever since.
As your representative, I have championed issues of victim’s rights, preventing sexual assault and domestic violence, and improving our air quality. I have also fought for you and all Utahns by advocating for Medicaid expansion, medical cannabis, police reform, and greater equity in our schools, workplaces, and institutions. During this pandemic, I’ve also focused on protecting our essential workers and providing support for families and local businesses affected by COVID-19.
I look forward to continuing to represent the people of District 26 and working to elect more Democrats!
