Utah Democrats Celebrate Kamala Harris’ Victory In Presidential Debate

September 10, 2024, Salt Lake City - Utah Democratic Party Chair Diane Lewis released the following statement today:

“Tonight, Disgraced Fraudster Donald Trump laid out his Project 2025 Agenda, which will grant him unprecedented power over American life - from jailing political opponents, to stripping LGBTQ+ Americans of non-discrimination protections, to giving the Federal Government control of women’s healthcare. When asked about the issues that matter, Donald Trump deflected, playing a blame-game with no real solutions for everyday Americans. 

Kamala Harris stood for Freedom: Freedom to make decisions about your own body, Freedom to love who you want, and the Freedom to speak out about causes you believe in. She also supported your Freedom from price-gouging, crime, and authoritarianism. Kamala Harris is fighting to lower costs for your family, while Donald Trump is out to give more tax breaks to his billionaire cronies. 

Kamala Harris’ complete victory at tonight’s debate confirmed that Utahns have a clear choice: choose Freedom under a Harris Presidency, or more lies, chaos, and government control under Donald Trump and his Project 2025 Agenda.”
